Hawks drop 2-0 conference game at San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO – The Las Positas College women's soccer team is still in search of its first Coast Conference North Division win after suffering a 2-0 loss at City College of Francisco on Tuesday.

 The two squads battled early and the game remained scoreless all the way until the 68th minute when CCSF's Leslie Murillo scored on a well-placed free kick from just outside the penalty box.

Seven minutes later, Murillo struck again with an insurance goal in the 75th minute to secure the Rams' win.

Las Positas goalkeeper Ava Buckles played well despite the loss, posting six saves while allowing the two goals.

The Hawks dropped to 0-0-1 in the Coast Conference North Division at 6-4-2 overall. LPC returns to action on Friday (Oct. 7) when it hosts Ohlone College in a 4 p.m. conference game.
