This season was the best season in the short history of Hawks Volleyball. The team finished in 3rd place with an overall record of 12-8 and 6-4 in Coast Conference play. While the team is still waiting to hear news of a possible playoff appearance, four members of the team have been awarded all-conference honors, two were named 1st team and two were named 2nd team.
Leading the way on the 1st team was the one two punch of freshmen outside hitters Ainsley Wade and Taylor Huerta. Wade led the team in kills with 295 and digs with 246 and was tied for second on the team in aces with 38. She was 9th in the State with 4.47 kills per set. Huerta was second on the team leader board with 208 kills and 219 digs while leading the team in aces with 45. Lethal from behind the service line, she finished 5th in the State in aces per set.
Dishing out the ball for all those kills was freshman setter Jade Dancel who along with sophomore libero Mimi Mckaig were named to the 2nd team all-conference. Dancel ran the offense by herself amassing a total of 606 assists to go along with 14 kills, 149 digs and 38 aces, being the other Hawk to finish with that amount in that category. For Mckaig she had 198 digs and an impressive 5 kills from the libero position, a place which is not known for getting kills, while starting the improved offense by taking a team high 355 serve receive receptions.
