Tough start to season continues for Hawks Volleyball

LIVERMORE – The return season for the Las Positas College women's volleyball program hasn't gone as expected.

Seven matches into the 2022 schedule, their first year back since 2019, the Hawks are still in search of a win after suffering a 3-0 loss to visiting Los Medanos College on Monday. The Mustangs won the match by scores of 25-11, 25-19, and 25-17.

Rachel Dayton led the Hawks with 7 kills and 10 digs. Sophia Kim added 7 digs and 5 kills while Rachel Tuazon paced Las Positas with 15 assists.

LPC, now 0-7, returns to action on Sep. 30 at 6:30 p.m. when the Hawks travel to College of San Mateo for their Coast Conference opener.
