Bio

Kate started playing water polo in junior high school with a club team in Santa Cruz. She went on to play on the inaugural women's team at her high school, where she lettered all four years. 

Kate played at Sonoma State University and helped to turn the club team into anofficial NCAA Division II team with the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA). While playing, she specialized as a 2-meter hole set. At Sonoma State, Kate earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science and a minor in Psychology. When sidelined by shoulder injury, she was the assistant coach at Sonoma State and was the head coach for the B-team at Sonoma. 

After moving to Livermore, she continued coaching with the Livermore Area Recreation and Parks District club team, the Lazers. She was head coach for the 15-and-up girls' team. She also was head coach for the Livermore High School varsity and JV teams.

Kate earned her Master's at Cal State East Bay. She currently lives in Livermore with her husband, and they are adding a new addition to the family Spring 2015.
