The Las Positas College women's soccer team was rewarded for its fine season with seven players being selected to the all-conference team.

Sophomore midfielders Danielle Castro (Granada graduate) and Irie O'Donnell (Dougherty Valley) made the first team. Freshman goalkeeper Mia Lemus (San Leandro) and freshman defender Grace Toney (Dublin) made the second team. A trio of freshmen were honorable mention selections: forward Nadia Barron Santiago (American Indian HS), midfielder Kaitlyn Lemus (Foothill) and defender Britney Truscott (Redwood).

The Hawks, who finished 13-4-6 overall and 8-1-3 in the Coast-North, fell to host Santa Rosa 1-0 on Nov. 18 in Round 1 of the Northern California Regional Playoffs. Despite the tough loss on a goal in the 49th minute, the Hawks were an impressive 7-2-1 down the stretch. They were among for teams with at least eight wins in conference.

Hawks head coach Andy Cumbo gave his team high marks for the season, describing the Hawks as "talented, competitive, team oriented, and a real pleasure to work with."
