Las Positas College recognizes the "Hawks of the Game" for their outstanding efforts during competition. The award is designed to be a demonstration of the athletic achievements of Las Positas College student Athletes. It illustrates the unique opportunity junior college provides to compete on the field, on their terms, and for their causes. 

Las Positas College has presented the award to Freshman: Monique Cavness (F) and Mi'Ari Garnett (G) for an impressive effort vs Monterey Peninsula College. #22 Cavness earned her third Double-Double with a dominating performance a new career-high scoring 24 points, 22 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal while shooting 2-6 (33%) from the 3-point line. #15 Garnett scored 15 points while shooting 9-14 (64%) from the free-throw line with a relentless effort slashing and attacking the basket. As the season progresses, Las Positas College will continue to feature the top performances.
