Three Dublin High graduates factored in all the scoring as the Las Positas men's soccer team defeated visiting Feather River 2-1 on Friday, Sept. 1.

Former Dublin Gael Eamon Fahkri, a freshman midfielder, had two assists in the first half, on goals by sophomore Adrian Denoncourt and freshman Jayden Nguyen, both Dublin graduates.

Las Positas (2-1-0) held on for the win, allowing a goal in the 70th minute.

"Overall, it wasn't an excellent performance by us, but it was good enough for the day," Las Positas coach Andy Cumbo said.

Denoncourt set the tone early, ripping a shot that forced a brilliant goalkeeper save. On the ensuing corner kick, he got the ball again and scored to make it 1-0 in the 10th minute.

Nguyen added a hardworking goal in the 35th minute to make it 2-0.

The Hawks have a tough week ahead with home games against Modesto Junior College at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, and Lake Tahoe at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8.
