The Las Positas Men's Soccer team kicked of their 2023 campaign last night under the lights as they defeated the visiting Eagles of Mendocino College.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Getting their season off on the right foot, the Hawks scored early and often as they took on the Eagles. The home team scored their first 4 goals in the first 20 minutes of the match as they cruised to a 9-1 victory. The Hawks were up 5-0 before giving up a goal in the 47^th minute. In the second half they continued the pressure forcing turnovers which led to 4 more goals in the second half.

TOP HAWKS

• Stefan Zanatti scored the first and third goal of the game while assisting on goal two and four
• Edwin Zabala had two goals of his own, while assisting on Zanatti's second goal.
• Rylan Stowell, William Kennedy, Jordan Millerand Isaac Nawabi each had a goal.
• Eamon Fahkri assisted on Kennedy's goal before scoring an unassisted goal in the 75^th minute.

The Hawks will look to continue their winning way as they will be back in action twice this upcoming week. On Tuesday the 29 they will face American River in Sacramento before coming back home on Friday Sept. 1^st to take on Feather River kickoff schedule for 3 pm. Go Hawks!
