SAN BRUNO – The Las Positas College men's soccer team put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell by a final score of 2-0 at unbeaten Skyline College on Tuesday.
The Hawks are still in search of their first Coast Conference North Division win and fell to 0-2 and 5-4-1 overall. Skyline continued its hot start and improved to 8-0.
Skyline got goals from Adan Morenoin the 33rd minute and Gerardo Murillo in the 43rd. Despite holding the Trojans scoreless over the second half, LPC couldn't find the back of the net to get back into the game.
Miguel Cortez and Anders Heraldsavic split time in goal for the Hawks.
Las Positas returns to action on Friday (Oct. 7) when the Hawks host Foothill College in a 1:30 p.m. Coast Conference North Division game.
