Athletic Training

Las Positas College is very proud of its sports medicine facility with state of the art equipment. The athletic trainer is responsible for the prevention, care, treatment and rehabilitation of our student athletes’ injuries. Athletic Trainers are first on the scene when an injury occurs and it is their responsibility to evaluate the injury and determine the first (and subsequent) course of action. Those actions often are treatment and rehabilitation in the athletic training room by our staff. The athletic trainer is able to provide individual, focused, evidence based care allowing the athlete to return to their pre-injury performance level as quickly and safely as possible.
