Hawks hang tough, but drop road game at Chabot

LPC put forth a spirited effort Friday night, but fell short in the end, 68-62, to Chabot in Hayward.

Facing a Chabot team that beat them by 21 points on Jan. 13, the Hawks led 19-14 after one quarter and 52-51 entering the fourth. However, LPC managed only 10 points in the final period to lose.

With the loss, the Hawks fell to 13-12 overall and 2-7 in the Coast Conference North Division. Chabot, ranked #15 in Northern California, improved to 13-12 and 6-3.

Brianna Gay led four LPC players in double-figure scoring with 16 points. Cayla Nava added 15 points, while Kristjan Aubry and Jasmine Odell had 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Hawks' next game is Feb. 10 against College of San Mateo at 7 p.m. in Livermore.
