The Las Positas College men's soccer team returns to the postseason for the first time since 2018. On Monday, the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) released the brackets for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.

The Hawks received the No. 22 seed for the tournament and will travel to No. 11 Santa Rosa Junior College for a first-round game on Wednesday (Nov. 16) as part of a playoff doubleheader with the Las Positas and Santa Rosa women's soccer teams. The women's contest is set for 11 a.m. followed by the men at 2 p.m.

The Hawks, under head coach Andrew Cumbo, closed out the regular season with a 7-9-3 overall record and went 2-7-2 in the Coast Conference play to finish fifth in the South Division.

Santa Rosa enters the postseason with a 9-2-8 overall record and was second in the Big 8 Conference with a 4-0-6 mark. LPC and Santa Rosa met earlier this season with the Hawks winning on Sep. 11 at home by a final score of 4-1.

The winner of Wednesday's contest advances to the second round to play at No. 6 Cosumnes River College on Saturday (Nov. 19). Four wins are needed by Las Positas to advance to the 2022 CCCAA State Championships on Dec. 2 & 4 at American River College in Sacramento.
