MOBLEY WILL NOT BE DENIED
Mobley, a freshman guard out of Weston Ranch High, is averaging 15.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists a game.
"I think his will really carried us. He was not going to be denied," LPC head coach James Giacomazzi said of Mobley. "Really aggressive but efficiently aggressive, aggressive within the flow of the offense. It's not like he went iso."
The young Hawks (14-9, 1-6) have played a lot of close games in the tough conference and were due to taste victory. They held off the Trojans, ranked tied for 30th in the state, after leading by seven at halftime, avenging a two-point defeat in the Hawks' conference opener.
Standout Alex Martin, a 6-6 sophomore guard out of Washington High, had a double-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. He is averaging a team-high 18.2 points a game overall.
Sterling McClanahan, a freshman guard out of Fairfield, added nine points, two assists and three blocks.
