No. 5 Hawks bounce back with win at Tony Costello Tip-Off Classic

Day 2 of the 15th Annual Tony Costello Tip-Off Classic is in the books. A 98-70 Las Positas College win over Sacramento City College wrapped up all of today's action.

Las Positas, ranked No. 5 in the California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCMBCA) Preseason Northern California rankings, evened up its record at 1-1 while No. 25 Sacramento City dropped to 0-2.

Yesterday, it was Brandon Fisher (Elk Grove, CA / Sheldon HS) leading the Hawks. Tonight, it was Domonick Victor's (Tracy, CA / Howard University) turn to put up some big numbers. Victor posted team-highs of 23 points and eight rebounds in leading LPC to the victory.

Fisher, coming off his 32-point outburst in yesterday's season-opener, posted his second straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Nikko Echalas (San Leandro, CA / Arroyo HS) played a key role on offense for the Hawks, coming off the bench with eight assists.

Las Positas will close out the tourney on Saturday (Nov. 6) with a 4 p.m. game against No. 23 College of the Siskiyous.
