Eboigbodin leads the way as Hawks win 3rd straight

Brandon Eboigbodin recorded his third straight double-double Wednesday night as the Hawks regained second place in the Coast Conference North Division with a 78-65 victory over Foothill in Los Altos Hills.

Eboigbodin scored 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds for LPC, which is ranked #18 in the state and #9 in Northern California. The Hawks improved to 16-7 overall and 6-2 in the conference.

LPC's third consecutive victory allowed it to move one game ahead of Chabot in the conference standings. The Hawks and Gladiators (17-8, 5-3, #13 in the state, #6 in NorCal) meet at 7 p.m. Friday in Hayward. LPC won the first meeting 70-69 on Jan. 13.

Against Foothill (10-12, 2-6), the Hawks led 39-34 at halftime after getting a boost from seldom-used guard Etienne Ettlinger. Ettlinger came off the bench and connected on 3 three-pointers to finish with 9 points.

McKayle Harnell was also hot from distance, hitting 4 of 5 threes and finishing with 16 points. Harnell also collected 7 rebounds. LPC also got 12 points and 7 assists from Ellis Salahuddin and 11 points and 3 assists from Kameron Johnson.
